MedPod began with a doctor who wanted to create medical podcasts that were actually useful for learning, not just background noise. Together, we’ve built an app that does more than just play audio. It lets you take quizzes, jot down notes, reflect, and track your progress, all in one place.
The team had to move fast and stay cost-conscious, so we built a custom mobile app in Flutter, shipping both iOS and Android from a single codebase. On the backend, we utilized Firebase Firestore as a no-code database and integrated Firebase Cloud Functions for server-side logic.
For content updates, we integrated FireCMS with Firestore, providing a simple way for users to manage and publish changes without requiring developer assistance.
The client found us on Clutch, read what people had to say about our education technology development, and gave the cooperation a try. As a result, we’ve managed to build a lucrative partnership and a product that resonates with many students. Our client considers us “a superb coding company,” and we’re happy to help them build an app with a mission that truly matters.

MedPod is a healthcare learning app for students and clinicians who want to learn on the go. It pulls together medical podcasts into one handy app, so you don’t have to jump between medical education platforms. But it’s not just about listening. MedPod adds structure with learning paths, quizzes, and spots for personal reflection.
Users can choose a topic, listen to curated episodes, then add notes or a short reflection, and complete a quiz to reinforce key takeaways. Learning progress is tracked over time, including listening activity, quiz scores, and completion levels. Students can enjoy a clear stats view and move through content “grades” step by step.
Behind the scenes, the platform runs on a simple admin setup. It keeps the library up to date and doesn’t bog down the team, which is crucial for startups that prioritize speed and ease of maintenance.
As part of our healthcare development services, we built a cross-platform MVP with a single codebase for both iOS and Android platforms. We handled the backend logic and content management, making it easy to grow down the line. At the same time, we kept the project practical, keeping the learning experience focused on what users need most in a first release.
We wanted to help the startup move fast, so we chose a pragmatic stack and relied on proven, ready-made components. We’ve built a Flutter app with a single codebase that supports both iOS and Android, utilizing Firebase Firestore and Cloud Functions for seamless operation.
FireCMS supports content management workflows like editing, approvals, and publishing. This setup enabled us to meet MVP deadlines without straining our team or exceeding the budget.
Built an MVP medical podcast app for both iOS and Android from one codebase, so the startup could launch quickly and keep costs in check.
Set up a solid digital health education platform using (Firestore + Cloud Functions) so the team could deliver content reliably, track user progress, and add new features without heavy backend overhead.
Shipped a healthcare learning app that transforms medical podcasts into structured lessons.
To make learning count, we added progress analytics: listening time, quiz scores, and completion levels. Users can track their progress and move through a clear grading system.
Made content management simple with a CMS, so the team can roll out new podcast lessons fast without risking app stability.
Kept things efficient by narrowing the feature set to fit the stack, because the startup medical podcast app placed a high priority on getting to market fast.
