Online casino VIP is a cashback app from Lucky Universe—a technology company focused on development of digital gambling software. Its founder is a serial entrepreneur who is always full of bold and innovative ideas that he wants to test and put into practice.
NERDZ LAB already collaborated with Lucky Universe on several successful projects. This time it was gaming app development on the iOS platform. Our client came up with an idea to build an app that would allow users to earn cashback every time they played a casino game online. So, NERDZ LAB needed to design an MVP for Online Casino VIP, the world’s first casino cashback app.

THE CHALLENGE
With its seasoned expertise in MVP development, NERDZ LAB helped the client solve the following challenges:
- API integration. We needed to integrate APIs of casino partners into the app. Our team also developed a secure cashback functionality that would prevent financial frauds and work without any glitches in different time zones.
- Advanced analytics. We were tasked to build highly advanced analytics that would measure marketing performance and track user activities in the app. It wasn’t that easy, but our team ensured that these two functionalities would work perfectly.
- Seamless app performance. The app was targeted at the VIP audience with high expectations for this kind of service. With that in mind, our team successfully developed a top-notch cashback casino app with excellent performance and superb animations.
THE SOLUTIONS
To overcome the said challenges and build a high-quality app, we divided the development process into three phases:
- App development. Our team built the API integration from scratch, creating the first MVP version of the app. Then we rolled it out, analyzed early results, and adjusted the dev process accordingly.
- User retention enhancement. The NERDZ LAB team increased the user retention rate with a gamification tactic. We created three mini-games inside the app, as well as the internal system of points that allowed users to earn bonuses for their game activities and top up their cashback rate.
- Marketing automation. Our team integrated Apple Search Ads with the app to gather and analyze data. This would help our client make data-driven decisions on app development and predict how many users they could attract with specific marketing activities.
THE RESULTS
We built an effective MVP for an online casino app that has a total of 4,500 users so far, with up to 550 of them daily active users (DAU). The MVP is already bringing income with zero investments
